President Emomali Rahmon Reviews Development Projects in Ghijovak Village
Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon reviewed ongoing development and improvement projects in Ghijovak village following his visit to the “Ziramoh” preschool institution.
During the visit, President Rahmon remotely inaugurated an additional educational building at Secondary School No. 23.
The newly constructed facility has 13 classrooms and is designed to accommodate 480 students in two shifts. The additional classrooms are primarily intended for primary school students. The school currently employs 17 teachers.
The new building is expected to expand the school’s capacity and provide students with improved conditions for education.
President Rahmon also remotely reviewed the condition of roads within Ghijovak village. As part of local improvement and development initiatives, eight kilometres of roads in the village have been asphalted with the participation of local entrepreneurs.
The President was subsequently presented with projects for the construction of a teachers’ dormitory, a Palace of Culture and a sports complex in the village. The planned sports facilities will include a hotel, dining facility, sports rooms and grounds for football, volleyball and basketball.
The five-storey teachers’ dormitory is designed to accommodate nine families. Its construction is aimed at improving the social and living conditions of teachers and providing them with suitable housing. The project is also expected to help attract qualified education specialists to the area and create favourable conditions for their effective work.
According to the project presented to the President, the Palace of Culture will be built in the upper part of the village and will include a 500-seat auditorium, eight offices and a library. The facility will provide space for cultural and educational events.
Rahmon also reviewed plans for the sports complex, hotel, dining facility and sports grounds. The facilities are intended to encourage children and young people to engage in sports, promote healthy lifestyles and support the development of various sporting disciplines.
The President instructed relevant officials to complete and commission the teachers’ dormitory and Palace of Culture within one year, while the sports complex, hotel, dining facility and football, volleyball and basketball grounds are to be completed and commissioned within the next two years.
The implementation of these projects and continued improvement initiatives in Ghijovak village are expected to contribute to the development of local infrastructure, improve social services and create better living conditions for residents.
As part of President Rahmon’s working visit to cities and districts of Khatlon Region, 24 social and economic facilities have been commissioned in Danghara District.
Among the newly completed facilities are three preschools with a combined capacity of 1,000 children, four production enterprises providing 63 jobs, five residential houses for teachers, a service centre, a vehicle bridge in Safedob village, a secondary school designed for 1,620 students in two shifts, a drinking-water supply line serving 531 households, a Palace of Culture and two sports grounds.
In addition, 16 kilometres of internal roads in Safedob village and eight kilometres of roads in Ghijovak village have been asphalted, while an additional school building for primary-grade students has also been commissioned.
Through the initiatives of generous local entrepreneurs, a total of 58 kilometres of local and national roads in the district have been repaired and asphalted.
