World Bank delegation calls on Ishaq Dar
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: A World Bank delegation on Saturday met with Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The delegation was led by Najy Benhassine Country Director for Pakistan the South Asia region.
Najy Benhassine informed the Minister that the World Bank is providing Pakistan a $2 billion loan for the rehabilitation of people and infrastructure affected by the devastating floods on an emergency basis.
Najy Benhassine further informed him that around $1.5 billion in funds would be mobilised this year due to an emergency situation.
The Finance Minister briefed the delegation on the flood disaster in Pakistan and expressed gratitude to the bank for the support.
He also informed the world bank delegation about the economic policies of the government.
Ishaq Dar said that the World Bank is our key partner in development.
