5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesian Island of Sumbawa
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: An earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Indonesian island of Sumbawa, without causing a tsunami.
The epicentre of the earthquake occurred 28 km from the city of Bima in the island, at a depth of 123 km, the Indonesian News Agency reported, citing the Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
So far, there have been no reports of material or human losses as a result of the earthquake.
