President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Awarded Jubilee Medal Marking 35th Anniversary of Independence

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has been awarded the jubilee medal “Participant in the Military Parade Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan,” according to Turkmenistan’s official media.

The decision to award the medal was adopted by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on September 25, 2026, based on proposals submitted by people’s representatives, major public associations, labor collectives and citizens.

The decision was adopted pursuant to Article 81 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and in connection with the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.

According to the document, President Berdimuhamedov received the jubilee medal in recognition of his contribution to strengthening and protecting Turkmenistan’s state independence, enhancing the country’s defense capabilities, ensuring the security of the state and its citizens, and maintaining law and order.

The decision also highlighted the President’s contribution to strengthening global stability and peace through initiatives based on Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, as well as efforts to enhance the country’s international standing.

It further noted his role in promoting among military personnel the values of patriotism, loyalty to the Motherland, courage and integrity, along with his longstanding service to the country.

The decision was signed by Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova in Ashgabat on September 25, 2026.
