President of Uzbekistan receives Denis Manturov
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov on Tuesday, who heads the Russian delegation at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”, which is currently taking place in Tashkent.
During the meeting, topical issues of the bilateral economic agenda were discussed, the press service reported.
“The President welcomed the successful organization and holding of the Innoprom forum with the participation of over 5,000 business representatives from 35 countries. Particular attention was paid to maintaining the dynamics of trade turnover and deepening industrial cooperation in priority sectors of the economy.
Wide opportunities for further development of practical partnership between the regions of the two countries and saturation of the interaction agenda with specific projects were noted. The launch of a technology park in the Jizzakh region this week was presented as an example.
The importance of accelerating the preparation and implementation of investment projects within the framework of the project office, including in such areas as energy, engineering, agriculture, textile industry, pharmaceuticals and other industries, was emphasized.
Interest in the introduction of Russian experience in supporting industrial production and the need to strengthen institutional mechanisms for promoting joint projects were also noted.
