GCC residents can now obtain tourist visit visa to Saudi Arabia
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Tourism has welcomed the residents of all GCC countries to apply for a visit visa for the purpose of tourism.
The Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Al-Khatib made an announcement through his official Twitter handle that the Kingdom welcomes all residents of the Gulf countries with clear and simple steps, indicating that obtaining a visit visa to Saudi Arabia has become easier without requiring specific professions.
The Minister of Tourism revealed that the visa is valid for tourism and Umrah, and allows one-time or multiple entry, noting that the fee is 300 Saudi Riyal, in addition to the value of medical insurance.
Following are the conditions required to apply for the visa:
- The applicant must be a resident of one of the Gulf countries
- a resident card valid for a period not less than three months
- a passport that is valid for a period not less than six months.
Who qualifies for this visa, and what is required?
- The age of the applicant should not be less than 18 years (to obtain a visa for children under the age of 18, a prior request by the guardian is required).
- The passport must be valid for a period of not less than six months upon application. The resident should also possess a valid residence document in one of the Gulf countries for a period of not less than three months.
- For religious visitors, please note that visa holders can perform Umrah at any time except for the Hajj season.
- The profession specified in the residence document must be identical to the approved professions mentioned.
- A separate visa application must be filled out for each immediate family member and they must be accompanied upon entry to Saudi Arabia.
What is the cost of the visa?
- The cost of the visa fee is 300 Saudi riyals, which is equal to 30 OMR, in addition to the cost of health insurance (not included).
- The validity period of the multi-visit visa is one year, starting from the date of its issuance, and the maximum period of stay in Saudi Arabia is 90 days.
- The validity period of a single visit visa (not multiple visits) is three months, starting from the date of its issuance, and the maximum period of stay in Saudi Arabia is 30 days.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable.
