Turnout at referendum in Uzbekistan at 01:00 PM was more than 62 percent
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: As it was noted, 19 million 722 thousand 809 citizens are included in the voter list, By 13:00, 12 million 83 thousand 105 people or more than 62 percent of the total number of voters took part in the voting.
The Press Center of the Central Election Commission held a briefing with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission. Information was provided about the voting process in the referendum.
In accordance with Article 38 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, a decision is recognized as adopted in a referendum if more than half of the citizens voted for it. Therefore, there is every reason to say that the Constitutional referendum in Uzbekistan is valid.
