Tokayev, Erdogan hold meeting in Astana
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to the reports of Akorda.
Speaking of the importance of the Turkish President to Kazakhstan, Kazakh President Tokayev expressed confidence that today’s meeting will give a new impetus to the strengthening of multifaceted relations between the countries and development of the Turkic world. The Kazakh President thanked the Turkish leader for his important initiatives proposed during the 10th Anniversary OTS Summit.
Türkiye is our fraternal country as well as the closest and most reliable strategic partner of Kazakhstan. Mr. President, you personally contribute to the promotion of cooperation. I appreciate it very much. Thanks to regular contacts, many our agreements are successfully being implemented. Last year’s bilateral trade turnover rose 54% to $6.3bn, set to be risen to $10bn. Türkiye is among the top four trade partners of our country… There are over 4,300 companies with Turkish capital in our country, said Tokayev.
The Kazakh President offered his congratulations to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish people on 100 years of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye. The Kazakh Head of State that Anadoly Street in Astana, Türkiye Avenue and Park in Shymkent, monument to Mustafa Atatürk in Almaty are to be unveiled.
