Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Meets Tajikistan's President for Key Talks

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a significant meeting with a delegation from the Government of Uzbekistan, led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, on March 11 in Dushanbe, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to deepening cooperation.

During the meeting, President Rahmon underscored the significance of the visit by the Uzbek delegation, emphasizing its role in shaping the future prospects of bilateral collaboration. He expressed his contentment with the rapid development of amicable relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Uzbekistan’s leader, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The leaders acknowledged the positive impact of an open and trusting dialogue on strengthening good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and allied relations between the two countries.

The adoption of the Declaration on Strengthening Eternal Friendship and Alliance, along with other crucial agreements during a high-level meeting in Uzbekistan in June 2022, was highlighted as a pivotal step aligning with the interests of both nations.

The meeting placed special emphasis on ensuring the successful implementation of assigned tasks, with a focus on advancing new projects in trade, economics, investment, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, and various other spheres. The leaders of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan reiterated their commitment to fostering a collaborative environment conducive to mutual growth and prosperity.

These discussions further solidify the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, paving the way for enhanced regional stability and shared economic development.
