Baku Selected as Host for Space Technology Conference in the Coming Year
Baku, The Gulf Observer: The forthcoming Space Technology Conference, a pivotal gathering of Central Asia’s space luminaries, is set to take place in Baku next year. This announcement was made during the 3rd Meeting of Heads of Space Agencies of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as reported by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan.
Amid discussions at the meeting, it was highlighted that Baku’s track record of successfully hosting global space events positions it as an ideal venue for the upcoming gathering of space agencies within the Organization of Turkic States. Notably, the Space Technology Conference (STC2024), now in its third iteration, is currently hosted by the Turkish Space Agency.
The 3rd Meeting of Heads of Space Agencies of the Organization of Turkic States commenced within the framework of the ongoing conference, serving as a platform for collaborative discussions and strategic planning among member states.
Attending the meeting are representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, all of which are members of OTS, alongside observer country Hungary.
The selection of Baku as the host city for the forthcoming Space Technology Conference underscores Azerbaijan’s growing stature in the global space community and its commitment to fostering international cooperation in the realm of space exploration and technology.
