COMSATS Hosts Earth Day Event, Launches Electric Vehicle Project for Cleaner Environment

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: COMSATS commemorated Earth Day with a thought-provoking event centered on “Pakistan’s Roadmap for Plastics Action.” Co-hosted by the Ministry of Climate Change Pakistan (@MoCCPak) and the National Plastics Action Partnership (NPAP), the event united partners under the banner of PlanetvsPlastics to combat plastic pollution and foster a sustainable future.
A notable highlight of the event was the participation of His Excellency Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, who shared insights into Azerbaijan’s vision as the host country for COP29 Presidency. His presence underscored the global significance of collaborative efforts in addressing environmental challenges.
Ambassador Nafees Zakaria and Mr. Qaiser Nawab also attended the event.
The event also witnessed the launch of the COMSATS-AGECO joint Electric Vehicle (EV) Project in Pakistan. This initiative aims to promote emission-free transportation and contribute to a cleaner environment in the country. By embracing electric vehicles, Pakistan takes a crucial step towards reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the impact of vehicular pollution on air quality and public health.
