Abdullah bin Zayed Visits Albertina Museum in Vienna
Vienna, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, visited the Albertina Museum in Vienna today as part of his working visit to the Republic of Austria.
Sheikh Abdullah was accompanied by Alexander Schallenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, alongside Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Hamad Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the UAE to Austria.
During his visit, Sheikh Abdullah toured the museum’s departments and its various exhibits, which include approximately 65,000 paintings, as well as several temporary art exhibitions, rare prints, and architectural drawings. He received a briefing on the museum’s history, learning about its status as one of the oldest museums in the world.
Impressed by the extensive collection, Sheikh Abdullah commented on how the museum’s diverse and vibrant exhibits reflect Austria’s rich culture and embody the values of tolerance and coexistence that are deeply ingrained in Austrian society.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Austria in cultural and artistic fields as part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. He expressed his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Austria and its people.
Prior to the museum tour, Foreign Minister Schallenberg hosted a luncheon in honor of Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation.
