Algeria, Spain Review Bilateral Relations and Cooperation During High-Level Diplomatic Meeting

Algiers, The Gulf Observer: Secretary-General of Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lounès Magramane, on Monday received Spain’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs, Diego Martínez Belío, during the latter’s official visit to Algeria.
The visit coincided with the opening of the 57th edition of the International Exhibition of Algeria, held under the patronage of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with Spain participating as the guest of honor.
According to an official statement, the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to review the longstanding relations of friendship, cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Spain across political, economic, commercial and cultural fields. The two officials underscored the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
Discussions also focused on the schedule of upcoming high-level visits and bilateral cooperation mechanisms planned for the second half of 2026, aimed at enhancing coordination and expanding collaboration in various sectors.
The Algerian and Spanish officials further exchanged views on key regional and international developments, reaffirming their commitment to continued dialogue and cooperation on issues of mutual concern.
The meeting reflected the two countries’ determination to deepen their strategic partnership and maintain regular diplomatic consultations in support of regional stability and sustainable development.
