Algiers, The Gulf Observer: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has directed all government sectors to complete cross-sectoral data linkage through the National Data Center within one month, underscoring the country’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation and improving public administration.

Chairing a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Sunday, President Tebboune instructed all ministries and public institutions to ensure full interconnection of their databases through the National Data Center, setting a maximum deadline of one month for implementation. The move is aimed at strengthening coordination among government institutions, enhancing administrative efficiency, and improving the delivery of public services.

The President stressed the importance of establishing an integrated digital governance framework that enables seamless information sharing across government entities while supporting transparency, faster decision-making, and more effective management of public resources. He emphasized that digital connectivity among state institutions is essential for modernizing public administration and advancing Algeria’s national development objectives.

The National Data Center is expected to serve as the backbone of Algeria’s digital infrastructure, facilitating secure exchange of information among government agencies and supporting the country’s broader digitalization strategy. Officials believe the initiative will streamline administrative procedures, reduce bureaucracy, and improve the efficiency of government services for citizens and businesses alike.
