Amir of Qatar Attends Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games Opening Ceremony

Paris, The Gulf Observer: This evening, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, graced the opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games “Paris 2024” held at Trocadero Square in Paris.

HH the Amir observed the grand spectacle as sports delegations from around the world, including the Qatari team, participated in the ceremonies. In a remarkable display, the delegations made their entrance by crossing the Seine River by boat, adding a unique touch to the event.

The Qatari delegation, comprising five sports federations and 14 athletes, will compete in athletics, volleyball, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming. This participation underscores Qatar’s commitment to the global sporting community and highlights the nation’s sporting prowess on the international stage.
