Azerbaijan to Initiate Relocation to Kangarli, Khidirli, and Sarijali Villages of Aghdam

Baku, The Gulf Observer: In a significant stride towards rehabilitation and restoration efforts in the recently liberated territories, Bashir Hajiyev, the Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, addressed the pressing issue of mines and unexploded ordnance during a thematic session titled “Impact of Mines and Unexploded Ordnance on Cultural Property.” This session was convened as part of the 6th World Intercultural Dialogue Forum, held in Aghdam.
During his keynote speech at the specialized session, Hajiyev underscored the paramount importance of clearing liberated areas from the remnants of war, emphasizing the severe repercussions of mines and unexploded ordnance on cultural heritage sites. The session served as a platform to highlight the ongoing efforts and strategies undertaken by Azerbaijan to address this critical issue.
Hajiyev elaborated on the comprehensive endeavors aimed at revitalizing the affected regions, particularly focusing on Aghdam, which had been transformed into a desolate expanse by hostile forces. Furthermore, Hajiyev outlined forthcoming initiatives, indicating the imminent commencement of relocation processes to Sarijali, Kangarli, and Khidirli villages of Aghdam by the culmination of the current year.
