Azerbaijani President Presents Garabagh Horse to Turkmen Counterpart During Shusha Visit

Shusha, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the historic Jidir Duzu plain in Shusha on June 23 as part of the Turkmen leader’s visit to Azerbaijan.
During the visit, President Aliyev presented a Garabagh horse named “Merd” to President Berdimuhamedov as a gesture of friendship and goodwill between the two countries.
The gift highlighted the cultural significance of the renowned Garabagh horse breed, which is considered one of Azerbaijan’s national symbols and an important part of the country’s equestrian heritage.
The visit formed part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
