China and Vietnam Pledge to Strengthen Cooperation and Build Community with Shared Future
Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang reaffirmed China’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Vietnam during a meeting on Sunday with Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam. Li emphasized China’s readiness to work closely with Vietnam to advance the construction of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, confront external challenges together, and achieve mutual development goals.
Premier Li highlighted the steady growth of China-Vietnam relations in recent years, noting the deepening cooperation under the framework of the shared future initiative. He expressed China’s willingness to further consolidate political trust and strengthen solidarity between the two nations, in line with the strategic consensus reached by their top leaders.
Li also stressed the importance of enhancing collaboration between the legislative bodies of both countries. He emphasized the need for increased coordination in multilateral arenas and for greater support of each other’s socialist development. He called for legislative cooperation to focus on innovation and provide legal backing for joint efforts in emerging industries, such as the digital economy, new energy, and 5G technology. Additionally, Li emphasized the need to cultivate new drivers of development and promote mutual understanding and goodwill between the Chinese and Vietnamese people, particularly among younger generations.
Tran Thanh Man, in turn, congratulated China on its significant development achievements and expressed confidence in China’s continued progress under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping. He reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to prioritizing its relationship with China and adhering to the strategic direction set by the top leaders of both nations. Man also underscored Vietnam’s intention to deepen cooperation in all fields, enhance political trust, and inject fresh momentum into the bilateral partnership.
The Vietnamese National Assembly, he noted, is eager to maintain close exchanges with China’s National People’s Congress and strengthen collaboration in areas such as socialist rule of law. Man also highlighted the role of legislative bodies in fostering people-to-people ties and supporting the long-term development of a strategic Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
