China’s National People’s Congress Presidium Holds Third Meeting of 14th Session

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: The presidium of the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC), China’s national legislature, held its third meeting on Monday. The meeting was presided over by Li Hongzhong, entrusted by Zhao Leji, the executive chairman of the presidium.
During the meeting, it was decided to submit the draft decision on amending the Law on Deputies to the NPC and to the Local People’s Congresses at Various Levels to the NPC session for a vote.
Additionally, the meeting approved the submission of three key documents for deliberation during the session. These documents included draft resolutions on the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
Furthermore, the presidium heard and passed a report on handling proposals put forward by NPC deputies during the ongoing session.
Prior to the meeting, the executive chairpersons of the presidium convened to prepare the necessary documents, ensuring a smooth and orderly deliberation process.
