Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed receives President of Kenya

Abu Dhabi, TGO: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hosted the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, in the UAE capital on Tuesday.

The leaders held high-level talks at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis in which they discussed efforts to bolster ties across sectors including the economy, investment, trade and agriculture.

Mr Kenyatta is due to visit Expo 2020 Dubai on Wednesday to mark his country’s “national day” celebrations at the world’s fair.

The Abu Dhabi meeting touched on the importance of participation at the global gathering for the African country.

Sheikh Mohamed thanked the Kenyan president for his country’s condemnation of the recent Houthi terrorist attacks on civilian facilities in the UAE.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince underlined the significance of the Emirates’ strong relationship with the continent of Africa.

Mr Kenyatta thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the warm reception he received and praised the UAE for its support throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior dignitaries, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
