Germany hosts Uzbek culture and cuisine festival

Compatriots living in Germany, representatives of German business and public circles took part in the festival

Frankfurt, The Gulf Observer: The event was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main together with the head of the popular group on Facebook “Usbekische Kuche” (over 16 thousand subscribers) Eugene Schatz and activists of the German-Uzbek Culture Society “Humo”.

Compatriots living in Germany, representatives of German business and public circles took part in the festival. They got acquainted with the modern development of Uzbekistan, its tourism and cultural potential, historical heritage, customs and traditions, as well as the national cuisine of the Uzbek people.

The festival included various events: exhibitions, culinary master classes, music and dance programs. One of the highlights was the process of preparing Uzbek pilaf and tasting traditional dishes, where guests could experience all the richness of flavors and aromas of spices typical of Uzbek cuisine.

A creative exhibition of paintings by Anna Geber’s art school dedicated to Uzbekistan was also organized. Guests took part in contests, musical dance performances.

The event made a great impression on the guests. They highly appreciated the culinary skills of our compatriots living in Germany.
