Indonesia Launches Creative Economy Incubation Program to Boost Market Expansion

Creative Economy Incubation Program

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy has introduced an incubation program aimed at supporting creative economy players in expanding their market reach.

“We are committed to advancing this industry so that the national economy can grow stronger,” said Agustini Rahayu, the ministry’s Deputy for Media Creativity, during a statement on Wednesday.

The initiative focuses on creative economy sub-sectors, particularly the music industry, providing incubation support from content creation to commercialization. The ministry encourages creative economy players to leverage multiple media platforms, including radio, television, print magazines, and digital technology, to promote their products.

In a strategic collaboration, the Ministry of Creative Economy is partnering with state-owned radio station RRI to develop technology-driven marketing solutions that enhance the competitiveness of creative economy products, especially in the music sector.

“We are also creating various market opportunities, and to remain competitive, we must continuously adapt to technological advancements,” Rahayu emphasized.

Additionally, the ministry is supporting the Music Preneur program, initiated by RRI, to recognize professionals across the music industry, including musicians, composers, sound engineers, and backstage crews.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya urged creative economy players to take full advantage of this initiative, fostering coordination and communication within the industry to help Indonesian music gain global recognition.

To strengthen this effort, the ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RRI on creative economy advertising, aimed at enhancing the ecosystem and protecting workers across the 17 creative economy sub-sectors under its supervision.
