Indonesia Secures $173M Gas Pipeline Deal, Completion Expected by 2025

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia has signed a contract for the Cirebon-Semarang (Cisem) Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Phase II project, valued at Rp2.8 trillion (approximately US$173 million). The contract was signed on August 2 with a joint operation between PT Timas Suplindo and PT Pratiwi Putri Sulung.

In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry’s Director General of Oil and Natural Gas, Dadan Kusdiana, emphasized the project’s significance as one of the government’s National Strategic Projects (PSN).

“This project should be prioritized by the ministry and the contractor,” Kusdiana stated.

The Cisem Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Phase II will span 245 kilometers and is divided into three segments. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, with operations set to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
