International Silk and Spices Festival kicks off in Bukhara

Bukhara, The Gulf Observer: The XX traditional international Silk and Spices Festival is held in the ancient city of Bukhara from June 16 to June 18. A press conference was held before the festival. It was attended by the Deputy Hokim of Bukhara region Mirali Khamrayev, members of the Organizing Committee of the festival, media representatives, independent journalists and bloggers.
As part of the festival, a solemn procession of festival participants from the Ark Complex to the Labi Hovuz Complex will take place, and performances of folklore groups from Uzbekistan will take place in the old part of Bukhara. In addition, trade exhibitions will be held with a rich assortment of spices, silk products and national handicrafts, masterclasses in gold embroidery, blacksmithing, silk carpet weaving, metal and wood engraving, embroidery, miniature art. Along with this, a scientific and practical conference, a Pilaf Festival, Silk and Spices Fashion Days, an exhibition of works by the National Gallery of Fine and Applied Arts and works of photographers, national and sports games, and a gala concert dedicated to the closing ceremony of the festival will be organized.

The festival will be covered in the media and social networks by 30 foreign and local journalists and bloggers.

Representatives of the embassies of Slovakia, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Türkiye, Kuwait and Qatar expressed their desire to take part in the festival. A list of about 200 artisans from the regions of the country and foreign countries has been formed.
