Iran, Belarus Discuss Expansion of Defense and Industrial Cooperation

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, has reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s readiness to strengthen defense and industrial cooperation with friendly and independent nations.

During a meeting held in Tehran on Thursday with the visiting Chairman of the State Committee for Military Industry of Belarus, Dmitry Pantus, the two sides discussed prospects for advancing bilateral relations in defense, technical, and industrial sectors.

General Nasirzadeh expressed satisfaction with the growing trajectory of ties between Tehran and Minsk, emphasizing that Iran welcomes the enhancement of defense and industrial collaboration with countries that uphold independence and mutual respect.

Both officials explored mechanisms for expanding cooperation and agreed on the need to formulate a roadmap aimed at deepening future engagement and accelerating the implementation of joint projects.

For his part, Pantus highlighted Iran’s vast industrial and technological capabilities and expressed Belarus’s interest in elevating cooperation in research and development, the production of defense equipment, and the exchange of industrial expertise.
