Iran, Belarus Seek to Boost Economic Ties Ahead of Joint Commission Meeting

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO), Mohammad Ali Dehqan Dehnavi, has underscored the need to enhance trade cooperation between Iran and Belarus during a meeting with the Belarusian ambassador in Tehran.

Dehqan Dehnavi highlighted the diverse capacities available for bilateral trade, noting that both countries are working to strengthen economic relations across multiple sectors. He stated that convening a joint commission meeting would help address and resolve numerous trade-related issues, ultimately facilitating smoother cooperation.

He further announced that, alongside the 18th session of the Iran-Belarus Joint Commission, additional meetings between officials from both sides will take place. These engagements, he said, are expected to create new opportunities and pave the way for expanded collaboration.

For his part, the Belarusian ambassador emphasized the significance of the upcoming Joint Commission meeting. He noted that the gathering of senior officials from the two nations would play a crucial role in removing existing trade barriers and advancing mutual economic objectives.
