Israeli forces launch raids in occupied West Bank
Jerusalem, The Gulf Observer: Israeli forces launched raids on multiple locations in the occupied West Bank, targeting cities such as Jenin, Nablus, Jericho, Bethlehem, and Hebron, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
In Jericho, Israeli soldiers, accompanied by military vehicles, raided the Ayn es-Sultan and Akabeti Jabr refugee camps, leading to clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian youth.
Similar incursions took place in Hebron, including the Yatta district and the Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem.
In Nablus, Israeli soldiers conducted raids in the Beyta town and Karyut village, entering homes for inspections and dispersing belongings.
The raids extended to Hebron, encompassing the city and the Yatta district, as well as the Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem.
In Jenin, Israeli forces positioned themselves near Jenin Hospital during the raid on the refugee camp, strategically placing sharpshooters inside and on the roofs of key buildings.
Power outages were reported in the refugee camp and certain neighbourhoods, while Israeli forces deployed illuminating flares into the sky.
The raids in the occupied West Bank have seen an increase since the commencement of attacks on Gaza on October 7, adding to the tensions in the region.
