Our Kitchen

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A charity initiative under the “Bizim Mətbəx” (“Our Kitchen”) social project, led by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, has continued its humanitarian efforts in celebration of Eid al-Adha, providing essential food aid to low-income families.

The most recent distribution was held in Narimanov district of Baku, where 100 families received food packages containing meat from sacrificed animals, in line with the spirit of the Eid al-Adha celebrations, which emphasize compassion, charity, and community solidarity.

The “Our Kitchen” project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, is committed to promoting social solidarity by regularly delivering hot meals and food aid to underprivileged communities. Since its inception, the initiative has reached hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries in Baku and surrounding areas, spreading not just sustenance but also hope and human kindness.

In a further step to strengthen community involvement, the official website of the project — https://bizimmetbex.az — is now active. The platform allows individuals to make donations, sign up as volunteers, and stay updated on ongoing and future outreach efforts.

This initiative stands as a powerful example of how civil society efforts, when rooted in compassion and leadership, can significantly improve the lives of those in need during important religious and cultural occasions.
