Kazakh Delegation Participates in UN Future Summit Ahead of 79th UNGA Session

New York, The Gulf Observer: A two-day Future Summit titled “Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow” commenced at the United Nations headquarters, marking the lead-up to the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The summit, organized under the initiative of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, aims to address pressing global challenges through collaborative and inclusive approaches, NHC reports, citing Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry.

The Kazakh delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu, actively participated in the summit. In his opening remarks, Secretary-General Guterres emphasized the need for comprehensive, 21st-century solutions to meet the complex challenges of today’s world. He highlighted the necessity for institutional reforms that align global governance with the core values of the UN Charter, calling for a more legitimate, fair, and effective system.

The summit was attended by heads of state, government leaders, foreign ministers from UN member states, as well as representatives from international organizations and civil society.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Nurtleu held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Serbia, Albania, Angola, and Mongolia. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. The leaders also exchanged views on current global and regional issues, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue on key areas of interaction.

The Future Summit is expected to set the stage for broader multilateral discussions during the UN General Assembly, advancing global solutions for a better future.
