Marbella hosts Kuwaiti-Spanish festival
Marbella, The Gulf Observer: The City of Marbella, Spain, is hosting the second edition of the Kuwaiti-Spanish festival today. Marbella Municipality Representative Remedios Bocanegra said that the event will take place on July 30 until August 1 in The Garden of Europe in Puerto Banus. “This event seeks to strengthen the close and long relations between Marbella and Kuwait since the late 1970s of the last century,” said Bocanegra.
The event will allow discovering the gastronomy, folklore, culture and art of Kuwait, while stressing that the Kuwaiti community in the city is very important. Chairman of the event’s organizing company Abrar Al-Masoud said that this event sheds the light on the relations between Kuwait and Spain in the Political, Economic, and Cultural fields.
Masoud thanked the Municipality of Marbella for their cooperation in the first edition of the festival back in 2016 and in the second edition this year. She noted that the event will kick off at 7pm (Marbella time) until midnight with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Spain Khalifa Al-Kharafi, Spanish Ambassador to Kuwait Miguel Aguillar and several senior officials from both countries attending the opening ceremony.
