Monument Honoring Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Inaugurated in Almaty
Almaty, The Gulf Observer: In a dignified opening ceremony, a monument paying tribute to the First President of Türkiye, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, was unveiled in Almaty. The monument, situated in the square named after Turkey’s national leader, was erected by the city’s akimat in 2023.
The solemn event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Aida Balayeva, the Minister of Culture and Information; Mustafa Kapucu, the Turkish Ambassador to Kazakhstan; Sultan Rayev, the Secretary-General of TURKSOY; and Yerbolat Dossayev, the Mayor of Almaty.
Minister Aida Balayeva expressed gratitude to the Heads of State for elevating the relations between Kazakhstan and Türkiye to a new level, emphasizing the dynamic development across all spheres. She highlighted that cultural ties have become a golden bridge fostering cooperation between the two fraternal nations.
