Manama, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Bahrain commemorates the anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard every January 7, acknowledging the patriotic dedication of its members, in collaboration with the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) and security personnel.

This collective effort aims to ensure the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the kingdom, preserving its national achievements. The National Guard’s advanced military competence is attributed to the steadfast support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.

General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the National Guard Commander, credits the guidance of HM the King and the backing of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the Guard’s achievements.

Established in accordance with Decree-Law (20) of 2000, the National Guard serves as a strategic military depth and security shield, maintaining the nation’s defense and security. Over 27 years, the Guard has fulfilled its patriotic role, reaching advanced levels of competence through strategic plans. Notably, in 2023, participation in drills like “Neon Defender-23,” “Fortress Bahrain,” and “Falcon of the North 2023” showcased its commitment to readiness and competence.

Beyond security, the National Guard engages in humanitarian and social initiatives, contributing to development projects and supporting the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.

The inauguration of the Military Judiciary building underlines its commitment to justice and aligns with HM the King’s directives. As a pivotal military and security force, the National Guard, under the leadership of HM the King, continues to evolve, defending the nation, preserving stability, and safeguarding its gains.
