Oman Explores Scientific Exchange and Collaboration with Peking University

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, engaged in discussions with Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University, and her accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for enhancing scientific exchange and fostering collaboration between the Sultanate of Oman and Peking University in the People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting held on Monday, the two parties delved into strategies to strengthen cooperation, particularly in training fields. Emphasis was placed on establishing connections between Omani universities and Peking University through the exchange of sabbatical leave programs.

Nasser Mohammed Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Republic of China, attended the meeting along with several specialists from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.

The discussions reflected the commitment of both nations to bolster educational and research partnerships, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise for mutual benefit. Such collaborative efforts are expected to contribute to the advancement of academic and scientific pursuits in Oman and Peking University.
