Omani Medical Personnel Win Prestigious Health Awards at WHO Meeting

Geneva, The Gulf Observer: Medical personnel from the Sultanate of Oman have been honored with distinguished health awards for their outstanding contributions to research and community health work. These awards were presented at the seventy-seventh meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Oman made history by becoming the first country in the Eastern Mediterranean region to receive three WHO awards simultaneously. The awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional efforts in various medical fields, significantly advancing healthcare services and research.

The award presentation ceremony took place today in Geneva, coinciding with the ongoing WHO meeting. Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health of Oman, attended the event, celebrating the remarkable achievements of Omani medical personnel.
