Pakistani Cuban Doctors Association Launches Campaign to Send Medical Supplies to Cuba
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Pakistani Cuban Doctors Association (PCDA) has launched a donation campaign to collect medicines and medical supplies for children, patients and other people in need in Cuba, amid shortages attributed to the intensification of the US blockade.
The campaign is being conducted in coordination with the Embassy of Cuba in Pakistan, with Pakistani doctors who graduated from Cuban medical institutions personally delivering donated medicines and medical supplies to the diplomatic mission.
The association aims to collect a substantial quantity of essential medicines and medical materials for shipment to Cuba as part of its humanitarian initiative.
Within two days of the campaign’s launch, doctors from Islamabad as well as the cities of Mansehra and Abbottabad visited the Cuban Embassy to deliver the first consignments, including boxes of medicines, antibiotics and other medical supplies.
The initiative reflects the continued solidarity and close people-to-people ties between Pakistani medical professionals trained in Cuba and the Cuban people, particularly at a time when shortages of essential medical resources are creating additional challenges for patients and healthcare providers.
The organizers have appealed for continued contributions to help gather further supplies for the planned shipment to Cuba.
