Military Oath-Taking Ceremonies Held for Young Soldiers in Azerbaijan Army

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers were held across the Azerbaijan Army on August 16 in accordance with the 2026 training plan approved by Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

The ceremonies commenced with the ceremonial arrival of battle flags at parade grounds, accompanied by military orchestras.

At the outset, participants observed a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was subsequently performed.

The young servicemen then solemnly took the military oath, pledging their loyalty to the Motherland and commitment to fulfilling their military duties.

Addressing the ceremonies, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and commanders of military units congratulated the young soldiers on the significant occasion. They called on the servicemen to remain loyal to the Motherland, the state and the Commander-in-Chief, and to perform their duties with discipline and dedication.

The young soldiers were also urged to thoroughly master weapons and military equipment, continuously improve their combat readiness, and accurately and promptly carry out orders issued by their commanders. They were reminded of their responsibility to remain prepared to defend Azerbaijan’s territory.

Participants expressed pride in the young servicemen taking the military oath and thanked the country’s leadership and the Ministry of Defense for creating the necessary conditions for military service.

The ceremonies concluded with solemn marches by servicemen in front of the grandstands, followed by cultural and mass activities organized by military units in a patriotic spirit.
