People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Murod Rajabov dies at 74

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Murod Rajabov died at the age of 74, the Cinematography Agency reported.

“People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, our beloved actor Murod Radjabov has died at the age of 74 after a long illness,” the statement said.

Murod Radjabov was born on May 30, 1949 in Tashkent. He graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky.

The actor, who played roles in dozens of films during his career, became one of the brightest stars of Uzbek cinema, he was especially remembered for his roles in such films as “Temir xotin”, “Kichkina tabib”, “Ulfatlar” and others.

Murod Rajabov has not acted in films since 2015. At the beginning of this year, it became known that he was very ill. A Kun.uz correspondent visited the artist and interviewed him.
