Philippine First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos Joins Melania Trump’s Global Coalition on Children’s Technology and Online Safety

Manila, The Gulf Observer: Philippine First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has joined the “Fostering the Future Together” coalition, a global initiative led by United States First Lady Melania Trump that seeks to expand children’s access to education and technology while strengthening protection against online risks.

Araneta-Marcos announced her participation after attending a luncheon with Trump and fellow First Spouses at the St. Regis Hotel in New York on Tuesday.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Araneta-Marcos said she was pleased to join Melania Trump and other First Spouses at the “Fostering the Future Together” luncheon.

She said the coalition shares a common objective of ensuring that children have opportunities to learn, grow and thrive while remaining safe in an increasingly digital environment.

Araneta-Marcos also highlighted concerns over online risks facing Filipino children and expressed support for efforts to create a safer and more secure digital environment for young people.

The initiative was launched by Trump during the 80th United Nations General Assembly in 2025 and brings together First Spouses and other leaders to promote children’s well-being through education, innovation and technology.

Its areas of focus include the use of artificial intelligence in education, education technology tools, online safety and protection, and digital literacy.

The coalition also seeks to encourage partnerships between governments and technology companies to expand access to digital tools and resources for children, parents and educators.

Araneta-Marcos is reportedly expected to host a “Fostering the Future Together” event during the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN Summit later this year.

According to the White House, the coalition now comprises 57 member nations. First Spouses participating in the initiative work with their respective governments to explore technology-based educational opportunities and develop measures aimed at protecting children from online threats.
