PM Chính Orders Final Preparations for Nationwide Ceremonies Marking Vietnam’s 80th National Day

National Day

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has directed ministries, localities, and major corporations to expedite final preparations for a large-scale series of inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies to mark the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.

According to a recently issued directive, 250 projects with a total value of VNĐ1.28 quadrillion (US$49 billion) will be launched or completed on August 19, 2025, as part of the nationwide celebrations. The events, to be held at approximately 80 venues across the country, will highlight Vietnam’s achievements in developing strategic infrastructure and are expected to foster national pride and unity.

With less than a week remaining, the Prime Minister urged all agencies and local authorities to adhere strictly to earlier instructions and coordinate closely with Vietnam Television (VTV), the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group, and the Ministry of Construction to ensure all details are finalised.

Project owners have been instructed to prepare facilities including marquees, sound systems, LED screens, and high-quality live video connections linking each site to the main venue at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre in Hà Nội. All participating units must submit high-resolution images of their projects to VTV and the organising committee by August 15.

Provincial authorities are responsible for securing stable transmission lines, ensuring power supply, managing traffic, and providing medical services and fire prevention measures. Venues hosting senior Party, State, and Government leaders must also arrange professional hosts and ensure smooth live broadcasts to both local audiences and the main venue.

VTV will produce and direct the nationwide live and online programme, featuring a special music performance at the main venue to reflect the celebratory spirit and inspire continued contributions to national development. VNPT and Viettel will manage network infrastructure, technical staffing, and live signal transmission for all locations.

The Hanoi People’s Committee will oversee the main event at the National Exhibition Centre, ensuring full compliance with technical and logistical requirements. The Ministry of Public Security will be responsible for security and traffic management throughout the celebrations.

Major media outlets, including the Vietnam News Agency, the Voice of Vietnam, and Nhân Dân newspaper, will provide extensive coverage before, during, and after the event to enhance public engagement and showcase the progress of projects nationwide.

The Ministry of Construction and the Government Office will monitor and inspect preparations, reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà and the Prime Minister as required.
