President Mirziyoyev Explores Ambitious Projects in Andijan Region

Andijan, The Gulf Observer: The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, recently undertook a comprehensive review of significant projects earmarked for implementation in the Andijan region. During a detailed presentation, the President gained insights into 26 projects valued at a substantial US$1.7 billion, currently underway in collaboration with Chinese investors.

These strategic projects span critical sectors including energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, textiles, building materials, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, education, and infrastructure. The collaboration aims to fortify economic ties and propel the region towards sustained development.

Among the projects in progress are the construction of mini-hydroelectric power stations, housing and recreational facilities, and the manufacturing of electric buses and batteries. Additionally, endeavors in porcelain stoneware, concrete panels, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural pursuits such as the cultivation of cherries and berries are set to make a significant economic impact while generating numerous job opportunities.

President Mirziyoyev engaged in discussions with the Chinese investors overseeing these projects, acknowledging the achievement of a high level of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China. The investors underscored their profound interest in conducting business in Uzbekistan, highlighting the immense potential and opportunities for entrepreneurs within the country.
