President Pezeshkian Highlights ECO as Pillar of Regional and Economic Diplomacy

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strong commitment to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), describing it as a vital platform for neighborhood diplomacy and a driver of multilateral economic cooperation.
In a post shared on his official X account (formerly Twitter), President Pezeshkian reflected on his participation at the 17th ECO Summit, where he extended his appreciation to member states for their responsible stances in response to recent acts of aggression against Iranian territory.
“For the Islamic Republic of Iran, ECO is a serious symbol of neighborhood diplomacy and at the forefront of multilateral economic diplomacy,” the President wrote.
He emphasized the organization’s potential to foster regional progress through collective efforts, adding, “Together, we can make the trade, transit, digital, tourism, and resilience vision achievable by 2035.”
President Pezeshkian’s remarks signal Iran’s continued support for strengthening regional integration and leveraging ECO’s framework to promote sustainable development, infrastructure connectivity, and economic resilience across member states.
