President Rahmon Congratulates Uzbek President Mirziyoyev on Birthday

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday, extending his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the Uzbek leader’s birthday.

At the outset of the conversation, President Rahmon wished President Mirziyoyev good health, continued success in his state duties, and every success in his future endeavors.

President Rahmon also commended the steady progress of brotherly Uzbekistan under President Mirziyoyev’s leadership, highlighting the country’s sustained development and its growing prestige and standing in the international community.

The two leaders reviewed key aspects of the current Tajikistan-Uzbekistan strategic partnership and allied relations. President Rahmon reaffirmed Tajikistan’s strong commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in the spirit of the longstanding traditions of friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual trust.

The presidents also discussed the schedule of their upcoming meetings and contacts on the sidelines of regional and international events, reaffirming their shared commitment to maintaining close political dialogue.

In addition, the two leaders exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, underscoring the continued importance of close coordination between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on bilateral and regional matters.
