Prime Minister Chính Extends Tết Greetings to Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of National Defence Units

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: On January 27, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tết) greetings to units under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Ministry of National Defence (MoD), recognizing their contributions during the Tết festival.

Visiting the MPS’s Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, PM Chính commended the department’s achievements in 2024, particularly its work on Project 06. He noted that the project had contributed significantly to administrative reforms, benefiting both citizens and businesses, while helping to reduce petty corruption. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts, fostering a culture of emulation, and excelling in administrative management to ensure public safety and order in the year ahead. He highlighted key tasks for 2025, including preparations for Party congresses at all levels in advance of the 14th National Party Congress and other major national events.

PM Chính also underscored the importance of completing the national database, aimed at connecting ministries, agencies, and localities across Vietnam with global and regional databases. This initiative is designed to create a smart infrastructure that supports national development and positions Vietnam for a new era of technological advancement.

During his visit to the MPS’s Department of Investigation Security, the Prime Minister acknowledged the crucial role of the People’s Public Security and security investigation forces in safeguarding the nation’s achievements. He called for new goals and coordinated efforts to strengthen national security, particularly as the country aims for at least 8% economic growth in 2025 to set the stage for double-digit growth in the following years. PM Chính urged the department to remain vigilant against hostile forces, adopt a proactive approach, and leverage science and technology, particularly in database building and digital transformation.

In his visit to Brigade K3 under the MoD’s General Department II, PM Chính praised the brigade for nearly three decades of dedicated service as an elite force within military intelligence. He expressed confidence that Brigade K3 would continue to excel in fulfilling its mission, ensuring that military intelligence remains a loyal and trusted force for the Party, State, army, and people.

The visits were part of the Prime Minister’s efforts to recognize the dedication of those on duty during the Tết festival and to emphasize the key role these agencies play in maintaining national security and contributing to Vietnam’s growth and development.
