Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Lauds Outgoing Ethiopian Ambassador for Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, the outgoing Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday afternoon.

The Prime Minister congratulated Dr. Jemal Beker on the successful completion of his tenure in Pakistan and commended his dedicated efforts toward strengthening Pakistan–Ethiopia relations.

Highlighting the significant milestones achieved during the Ambassador’s tenure, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated his role in concluding the Bilateral Trade Agreement and facilitating the resumption of direct flights between Karachi and Addis Ababa.

Emphasizing Ethiopia’s important role on the African continent, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Ethiopia, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, and technical capacity building.

Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for the warm support and friendship extended to him throughout his tenure by the Government and people of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his warm regards to the leadership of Ethiopia and expressed his desire to further enhance high-level exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
