Qatari Amir and Consort Attend State Dinner Hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace

London, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and Her Highness Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, Consort of the Amir, were hosted at a dinner banquet by His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace in honor of Their Highnesses during their state visit to the United Kingdom.

At the outset of the banquet, HM King Charles III delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the Qatari delegation and highlighting the exemplary relations between the two nations. The King expressed his admiration for the remarkable progress in Qatar across various sectors and noted the active participation of many British companies in the country’s development. He underscored the significance of the Amir’s visit, which serves as an opportunity to celebrate the strong strategic ties between Qatar and the United Kingdom and to explore further cooperation in diverse fields.

In response, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani praised the enduring friendship between Qatar and the UK, as well as the successful strategic cooperation across all areas. The Amir extended heartfelt gratitude to King Charles III and Queen Camilla for their warm hospitality and gracious invitation, acknowledging that the reception reflected the deep-rooted and historic relations between the two countries and their peoples.

The dinner banquet was attended by a high-ranking Qatari delegation, including HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with other members of the official delegation.

From the British side, the gathering was graced by the presence of HRH Prince William of Wales, HRH Princess Catherine of Wales, HE Prime Minister Keir Starmer, several members of the British royal family, and other distinguished guests.
