London, The Gulf Observer: Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, met with Speaker of the UK House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle in London to discuss ways to strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Oman and the United Kingdom.

The meeting underscored the importance of enhancing dialogue and mutual understanding between the two countries to support their bilateral partnership and broaden cooperation across various fields.

During his visit, Sayyid Badr also visited the UK Parliament at the invitation of Emily Thornberry MP, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and representatives of the Council for Arab-British Understanding (CAABU).

The visit took place amid renewed momentum in Oman-UK relations following the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to the United Kingdom last week.
