President Tokayev Holds Meeting with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, according to the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, President Tokayev expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their support in organizing the One Water Summit in Riyadh. The Summit, chaired by Kazakhstan and France, is expected to play a significant role in advancing the global environmental agenda, Tokayev emphasized.
The President also noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. Over the past three decades, the two nations have fostered a strong political dialogue, established a solid legal framework, and implemented numerous investment projects, he said.
The leaders discussed key areas of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, particularly in energy, the oil and gas sector, as well as transport and logistics. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted Kazakhstan as a crucial partner for Saudi Arabia in Central Asia, underscoring the ample opportunities available for the progressive development of bilateral trade and investment ties.
The two sides also exchanged views on important regional and international issues, reflecting their shared commitment to strengthening their partnership.
