Renowned Central Asian Expert Mr. Muhammad Ali Pasha Visits NLPD

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Renowned expert on Central and Southeast Asia, Mr. Muhammad Ali Pasha, visited the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD). During his visit, he presented his acclaimed poetry collection, “Samarkand and Fallen Flowers“, to the Director General of NLPD, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar.

Samarkand and Fallen Flowers was launched in October 2023 during Mr. Pasha’s visit to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where it received widespread recognition for its evocative portrayal of cultural and historical themes.

In a gesture of mutual appreciation, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar presented Mr. Pasha with the Qaumi Urdu-English Dictionary, emphasizing the shared commitment to linguistic and literary excellence.

The visit marked a significant moment of cultural and intellectual exchange, highlighting the importance of literature in fostering cross-regional understanding.
