Saudi Foreign Minister Holds Talks with Spanish and Norwegian Counterparts on Gaza Developments

Madrid, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held high-level discussions with his Spanish and Norwegian counterparts in Madrid on Sunday, with talks centering on the escalating situation in Gaza and the West Bank. The meetings were held on the sidelines of the expanded meeting between the Ministerial Committee of the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit on Gaza, the Madrid Group, and several European nations.
In his meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, Prince Faisal discussed the latest regional and international developments, emphasizing the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territories. The two ministers also reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Spain and explored areas for enhanced cooperation.
Later, Prince Faisal met with Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide. Their discussion similarly focused on the deteriorating conditions in Gaza and the West Bank, and the importance of intensifying international efforts to achieve a just and lasting resolution to the conflict. The ministers also addressed broader regional dynamics and ways to strengthen Saudi-Norwegian ties.
Both meetings underscored Saudi Arabia’s continued diplomatic engagement with European partners to coordinate a unified response to the Gaza crisis and reaffirm its support for peace initiatives grounded in international law.
Accompanying Prince Faisal during the meetings were Saudi Ambassador to Spain Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz Al-Mogrin, Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Prince Musab Al-Farhan, and Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan.
