Statement adopted, following “3+3” meeting in Tehran
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: “It is important to develop friendly relations between countries based on mutual interests and good neighborliness,” stated in the statement on the results of the meeting of the “3+3” cooperation platform held in Tehran, according to media reports.
Noted that it is crucial to resolve disputes in this matter through peaceful means, while respecting sovereignty, political independence, territorial integrity, the inviolability of internationally recognized borders, non-interference in international affairs and domestic affairs, prohibition of the use of force, and the respect for human rights based on all the principles of the United Nations Charter.
It was also emphasized that various international issues were discussed during the meeting, and the most important issues of the region were addressed. The significance of platforms like the “3+3” Consultative Regional Platform was highlighted in creating opportunities for constructive dialogue and establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries.
In addition, besides positively assessing the results of the meeting, the parties reiterated their commitment to the equal participation of Georgia and affirmed the openness of this Platform for its involvement.
The foreign ministers also conducted an exchange of views on the situation in Gaza. They emphasized the necessity of immediately halting the targeting of innocent civilians.
An agreement has been reached that the next meeting will take place in Türkiye.
